I’m a short-haired early riser with a passion for smart, fast + efficient running.
Synonyms: Stylist. Coach. Guide. BRF (best running friend). Author. Boston marathoner. Cheerleader. Dreamer.
See also: Wife. Mom of 5. Personal Trainer. Group Fitness Instructor. Taxi driver. Chef. Occasional hot mess.
You love running, but you secretly wish you were a little faster. You’ve gotten advice from your BRF, the guy at the specialty running store, and random google searches. You wake up early. You run. But you aren’t really getting much faster. And what in the world are you supposed to eat when running makes you SO HUNGRY? Sometimes running hurts. Sometimes you get discouraged. Sometimes you’re starting from scratch and need an entire running makeover.
What you need is a plan. You need someone to tell you how far to run, how fast to run, and how often. You need someone to tell you what to eat. You don’t want to question every step and every GU. You need someone to help you DIY…but faster!
That’s exactly what I do, friend!
I’m Robyn Gadd, a Certified Running Coach, and my passion is equipping runners to do what they love…faster!
I’ve worked in the health & fitness industry for over a decade. After college, I became a Personal Trainer (2005) and a Group Fitness Instructor (2008).
I spent countless hours teaching fitness at the gym level before switching my focus from serving fitness enthusiasts to serving runners. Along the way, I coined the phrase “Running Stylist” for myself, because it describes exactly what I do.
Much like a stylist who shares her knowledge with her clients, answers questions, and tweaks a few things they already have to make them look + feel amazing…I help my students and clients train properly, efficiently, and safely…just tweaking the skills they already have. And sometimes I come in with an entire running makeover for those unsure about where to start. (A stylist’s dream)!
On this blog, I give runners (newbie + seasoned) super-practical, actionable guidance so they can train with purpose, achieve their goals, and actually enjoy the process.

AND IN CASE YOU’RE HERE TO FIND OUT MORE ABOUT MY NON-BIZ LIFE…
I’m a Cali-raised, Utah-born, now southern girl living in beautiful Tennessee. I am a wife to my favorite running partner, Joe. Together we have 5 crazy + fun kids.
I started out as a very average runner with a dream to someday qualify for the Boston Marathon. Becoming fast enough didn’t happen overnight, but in the process, I gained so much more than just a race entry.
I’ve lived in Japan, the Dominican Republic, Finland, and the USA. I speak Spanish and Finnish, and barely survived Japan (as a 16-year old) by saying “hai” to anyone who spoke to me in Japanese. (Translation: “yes”).
I love good, tearful laughs, daily dance parties, babies, fireworks, and huge rainstorms. I love my family, dessert, podcasts, and American Idol (RIP). I’ve been known to wake up at 3 am to nurse a baby before going on a long run on a crazy Saturday.
I blog to remember that there really is joy in the journey, not just the finish line. Life is good…and a little crazy. I like it.
Robyn Gadd spent over a decade working in the Health & Fitness industry as a Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor before launching her own business as The Running Stylist in 2016. Combining her natural skill-set with some seriously purpose-driven inspiration, she’s now built a business by helping an international tribe of runners achieve their wildest running dreams, one brilliant run at a time.
When she’s not writing about herself in third person, you can find her spending too much time on Facebook or enjoying the hills of Tennessee with her handsome husband and their alarmingly adorable 5 kids. Are you ready to run faster and live better?
We’re growing in ranks. We’re tired of running miles and miles without improvement. We're tired of suffering from unnecessary injuries. We're tired of the mixed messages on what to eat before, during, and after our workouts. We're tired of gaining unnecessary weight when we work so hard. We're tired of the lies about carb-loading. We are some of the hardest working people in the world. We are awake before the sun rises. We hit 10,000 steps before breakfast. You’ll know us by the coconut oil in our pantries and the spinach in our smoothies. We know the exact distance of each street in our neighborhood, and the incline of every hill. We love a good fartlek, and never get tired of saying so. We have a love/hate relationship with intervals. We have a stash of coins collected on our runs, a favorite brand of port-a-potty, and we plan pregnancies around our favorite races. We are runners.
We can do hard things. We set goals, and we achieve them. We want to make sure our kids grow up in a healthier world. We are their examples. We know that the only way to run our best is to fill our bodies with whole foods. We’ve got our chia seeds and raw cacao and we aren’t afraid to use them.
We are ready to run faster and live better. Join the tribe, and get ready to Run Fast With Me.
